M.A.C cosmetics - Viva Glam IV

Today's post is a short review on this M.A.C cosmetics lipstick: Viva Glam IV.

Before I bought this cutie, I had no idea about Viva Glam collection, but I was glad to hear that every cent you pay for the lipstick goes to M.A.C's AIDS fund to help anyone with HIV or AIDS, it actually made me feel less shallow...You can recognize a Viva Glam lipstick by the red colour of the tube and logo, instead of the usual silver lipstick packaging from M.A.C. Also, they have some lovely colours for the Viva Glam collection, I wanted to have Viva Glam I lipstick, but they were out of stock then...Before buying this liptisck, I was really wanting to get myself New York Apple, all because of my favorite (and first!) M.A.C lipstick, London Life, which is no longer available to buy since some years ago....so I'm trying to find something similar. New York Apple is kind of the same colour as London Life, not the exact same of course, New York Apple is a much brighter red and more opaque. Nevertheles I came across Viva Glam IV and I really liked it, because I've got so much red lipstick, I thought It would be nice to have something different. Viva Glam IV is a Frost lipstick, "in a mid-tone rose with a subtle gold sparkle". In the photo beneath it looks a bit too pinkish because of the light, in the last pic you can appreciate the gold shimmer and the real colour in light and dark. It's a colour I wear quite a lot, more than my other M.A.C lipsticks; all because Viva Glam IV is a really good lipstick, it doesn't fade easily, it doens't smudge around the edges, it's very easy to apply, the colour goes with everything in my wardrobe and, well, it's always nice to buy new lipstick, but it's even nicer to know you are actually helping people with such a serious disease as AIDS.
I would rate this product with a 9,5/ 10.

By the way, stay tuned to M.A.C cosmetic's website to know more about the
AMAZING new collection, Playland, that they'll be releasing soon!

The WhitePepper's summer collection 2014

Is it even possible to express how in love I am with The WhitePepper?
For those who don't know about this lovely shop, feel free to enter their site: The WhitePepper and check out their lovely collections.
The WhitePepper is a british brand based in East London where you can find lovely clothes and accesories. Every collection is full of new fabrics and patterns, but they never loose their essence and that's wonderful. Femenine, naive, comfortable, colorful.... that's The WhitePepper to me. Something I love about this shop is that they have a big variety and constrast when it comes to colours; you may have pastels or white and then find something in ox red, naivy blue or black, but always in nice tones.
Another representative thing about TWP is their simple and plain designs, specially when it comes to dresses, but the fabrics are gorgeous, and as they say "less is more"; you don't need to push it too much when you dress up, one detail can complete the whole look.
This summer there's lot's of blue, white, pink and black and it's all inspired in Alice in Wonderland, the book by L.Carroll.

This time I'm just going to post my favorite items from this summer collection:

Summer dress, gingham and pastels...Perfect! These oversized dresses from TWP are not just for slim girls,  they look great on all kind of sizes and bodies, the fabric is soft and just hangs nicely.

I love this combination, with the new denim midi skirt and that white crop top.
A simple and nice outfit to wear in sunny day with some jelly shoes.

Polka Dots and blue are always a good combination.
This oversized and mini lenght dress is perfect for a hot day.

I've always had something for checks and even though I'm not a big fan of frills,
this dress is gorgeous even to me!

I'm sure everything looks even better because the model is a complete DOLL! I love it!
A collection to die for, seriously. Can't wait to get myself something from this summer collection or at least something from their spring collection which was amazing too, I never feel disappointed when a
new collection comes out. They know how to make my heart melt and my wallet suffer...

Baby Lips - Maybelline

Today's review is about Maybelline's ultimate lip balms: Baby lips are some of the best lip balms I've tried. I tend to like lip balms that have a dense formula, Baby Lips are a bit lighter but work great too and I specially love them because they have lovely colours and scents! They are soft and moisturizing, not sticky and they have a touch of colour (except Mint Fresh).

Until now, this is my collection (from left to right): Cherry Me, Mint Fresh, Peach Kiss and Pink Punch.

They're not expensive and the product lasts a lot, the only problem I find is that when you apply it on your lips it just stays for about an hour or two, maybe because it's not made with a thick balm. However, when you apply it you don't need much to cover up your lips and feel them hydrated. I usually wear them when I'm lazy and I don't want to wear any lipstick, but instead have a bit of colour and hydrated my lips. After finding out about these lip balms I wear less lipstick than I did before.

In the pic above I'm wearing Mint Fresh. A colorless lipbalm with a refreshing mint scent that keeps your lips moisturazed for about 8 hours. Now, let's start with the swatches:

Baby Lips - Pink Punch

I don't wear pink too much, so I wasn't sure about buying this one, but I was surprised when I saw what a lovely colour it has. Same formula as the other Baby Lips, with a soft strawberry scent and a gorgeous pink with blue undertones, seriously in love with it! I usually wear it with black clothes.

Baby Lips - Peach Kiss

A shimmering peach colour, perfect for a "nude lips" look. It's got a peachy scent that actually tastes great haha I don't wear this too much though...

Baby Lips - Cherry Me

My favorite Baby Lips lip balm. The smell of cherries and the colour just makes it the perfect lip balm ever. It's more like an every day gloss to me, I wear it nearly everytime I go out. I really recommend this one!
