Inspiration: Will Cotton

Not much to say here...to me, Will Cottons work is just perfection. My definition of Art is all that makes me go "WOW", gives me pleasure, satisfaction, amazes me or makes me feel happy while admiring it. It can be anything, from photography or films to paintings, installations, music, theater, etc. And yes, of course, that's why Art exist, to give the mind and soul pleasure, happiness and satisfaction. It's all a matter of taste. But to paint candy is just as much as I can handle. WOW. His technic and originality are amazing and his works make me feel happy.

Missibaba

I couldn't leave Cape Town this last time without going to Missibaba. Definitely not. And I couldn't leave their shop without buying something. The only problem is that I was a bit broke at the moment, but I was able to buy a gorgeous little fabric bag from their collection "Queendom of Banana", which is one of my favorites, and I have to admit I'm completely in love with it. Missibaba is a luxury accesory brand created by lovely Chloe Townsend, with stores in Cape Town and Johannesburg, you can also check their online store here. They create amazing leather and fabric bags, purses, clutches, earrings, necklaces, etc. everything designed and handmade by the incredibly hard-working team. This summer I had the opportunity to spend a truly amazing day with Chloe and her team, and after seeing their studio, work and creations, I just have to say they're all admirable. Here are some photos I took from their store in Cape Town (229 Bree street), hope you enjoy their work as much as I do.

Lush Haul III

Here's another Lush Haul. As you can see I bought hell a lot of stuff from Lush when I was this
summer in Cape Town, but I didn't write much about them back then so now that I am back I'm uploading the reviews.

Rose jam bubble bar is one of my favorites! One of my first Lush cosmetics products was Rose Jam shower gel, and I loved it soooooooo much that I really wanted to try this great bubble bar that has the exact same smell. It dyes the water in a lovely pale pink color and makes lot's of bubbles. And of course it leaves your skin very soft and smelling amazing.

Butterball ballistic may look quite boring and simple, but it's actually very cool! You pop it in the water and let it fuzz away. At first I didn't notice anything, but then I looked closer and saw a bit of oil and glitter floating on top of the water. The "oil" is because Butterball contains little cocoa butter chips that melt when in hot or cold water, this moisturizes your skin amazingly well and it doesn't leave your skin greasy at all, just dry yourself up with a towel when you get out the tub and your skin will be soft and super hydrated.

Tisty Tosty is very fizzy as a ballistic, it doesn't dye the water much but It leaves a lovely fragrance. Also it has got nine little rose buds that float in your tub and smell amazing although they may look small. This was not one of my favs, but it's still good enough to try.

M.A.C cosmetics x Rocky Horror

A match made in heaven. To celebrate The Rocky Horror Picture Show's 40th anniversary, M.A.C cosmetics released an amazing collection of must haves! From lipstick, to false lashes and sparkling eye pigments, blush, nail polish, and a long list of great products. As a Frankie (and M.A.C) fan myself, I felt I had to have some of these great products but unfortunately I'm not a Rockefeller, or anything similar...So I pre ordered a Frank'N'Furter lipstick, in my opinion, the best lipstick shade of all the collection. I also liked Sin, but it's a permanent shade, I could always buy it another time, so I prefered buying a limited edition one. The collection launched in stores November 1, I had some problems at the shop with my order, but I finally could get my Frank'N'Furter lipstick, yeaaay!! I'm so happy to finally have a M.A.C x Rocky Horror limited edition product.
The shade is a deep raspberry wine color. Beau-ti-ful. The formula is matte, which is even better, because I usually prefer matte lipstick. The lighting in the photos was a bit too strong, the lipstick is actually a bit darker. I have a lot of different M.A.C red lipsticks, but I think this one is going to be one of my favorites, and the packaging is soooooooo nice!
~
Pre-ci-o-so.

November

Another month has gone by so fast...And another one starts, hello November. Halloween ended last night, and I would of liked to write a mini post with inspirational photos, but I had such a busy day yesterday...In the end I celebrated All Hallows Eve by staying at home and watching Harry Potter with my boyfriend while eating chocolate and other rubbish. I needed a relaxing night.
So, November, the cold is here and the smell of fireplaces is in the air. I actually like the smells more than anything else in autumn. There's lot's of things to happen this month: I am planning a little trip to a town nearby with friends and also, it's my birthday this month! Gosh...another year to add, I hate it.
Apart from that, I have to say I'm so happy right now, although I have tons of things to do for uni, I finally bought my longtime desired Fjällraven Kanken classic backpack!! FINALLY!! It's my birthday present in advance, I'm going to enjoy it so much. I really needed a backpack, and I've wanted a kanken for a long time, but because they're so bloody expensive I couldn't afford it until now. Another great thing is that M.A.C cosmetics has finally released they're Rocky Horror Picture Show collection. I pre ordered a lipstick from theirs like a month ago, just in case, and after so long I will finally be able to have it. And to finish the stupid chitchat I'd like to post some Halloween inspirational photos I've loved, mostly from tumblr (f*ck I love Tumblr, I practically live in there haha).

Hope you have a lovely November, see you very soon!

Lime Crime -Poisonberry

When it comes to lipstick, I prefer wearing red or dark colours than light or soft ones, altough I have some pinks and oranges, for summer or spring. This lovely purple berry color lipstick I got some time ago from Lime Crime was the first lipstick I fell in love with from Lime Crime, I also loved Glamour101 and Airborne Unicorn, but this one was love at first sight. I also ordered their Carrousel Lip Gloss in Present at the same time I bought Poisonberry, the colors are similar and I thought they would look nice together, but it turned out that the Carrousel gloss was so good I didn't have to put any lipstick underneath.
Poisonberry is a gorgeous berry purple that actually has a two tone look, but at first, you may think it's a much darker color. The formula is soft and creamy, which makes it easy to apply (better with a brush). I find it smudges a bit if I wear it for a long time, so I use a lip primer and a lip pencil. I personally think Lime Crime has a really good color range, but their lipstick are not the best I've tried, not that their bad, they just haven't got an outstanding quality. Instead, I really liked their lip glosses and velvetines! So I would really recommend buying a Lime Crime lip gloss or velvetine before anything else, they're a must have!

Cotton flowers

I know these photos are horrible, but I am sooooo bad at posing, I don't feel confident in front of the camera, I'd rather be behind it. So let's not take note at my weird pose and faces...If you follow my blog or if you read it sometime now and then, you may have notice my obsession over The WhitePepper and their clothes. So, after wanting this crop top since spring, I finally managed to buy it! The WhitePepper is quite expensive, so at first, when they launched their spring collection I couldn't afford this top, but luckily I now and then have a look at their marketplace in ASOS (click here) and this time I hit the jackpot! Only one item left, in my size, half price and with no shipping costs. Seriously, after that day I spent all my luck for a month! So as soon as it was possible, I bought this amazing and long-wanted flower crop top from The WhitePepper. This is my second item from theirs and I love it, it's soft and lovely for hot weather. The only problem is that I have to wash it by hand, but still, it's the best! Also, the print and color...I love them.
For this outfit I paired my moto jeans from Topshop (very tight but still gorgeous) with my flower crop top, and my white converse. The fabric tote bag is from Typo and delicious tea from, of course, Arizona. Oh and in case you wonder what lipstick I am wearing it's Nyx cosmetics soft matte lip cream in Milan.

See you soon ;)
