Asian Cosmetics Haul

I was really wanting to try asian cosmetic products for a while now, and I finally got myself some products from Etude House, TonyMoly and Hanaka. I bought all of these products at YesStyle and in general I am happy with everything I bought.

Hace ya un tiempo que estaba deseando probar productos de cosmética coreana. En España hay varias tiendas online que las venden cómo Wangbii o MiiN cosmetics, que también tienen tienda física, incluso algunas perfumerías Primor en Málaga venden productos de cosmética coreana de Wangbii. Pero en éste caso compré por YesStyle y en general estoy muy contenta con los productos que compré.

Oh! M' Eye Lash (volume) mascara from Etude House (9,74 Euros)

I am constantly searching for a good eyelash mascara. When I bought this one, I didn't expect too much of it, I actually just wanted to try it out and because I wanted to buy a mascara that gave my eyelashes volume more than thickness. I was impressed with this product, it leaves your eyelashes longer than most of the mascaras I've tried out and it doesn't come off easily, even if you sweat it won't make you look like a panda, also, the color (black) is quite intense. When it comes to take it off it's a bit persistent, so I recommend using a strong cleansing product, like a waterproof cleansing product.

Tengo una lucha continua cuando se trata de máscara de pestañas, y siempre estoy en busca de la mejor máscara de pestañas que pueda encontrar. Al comprarla no esperaba mucho, más bien era por probar y porque busco que una máscara de pestañas de mucho volumen, más que densidad, pero me llevé una maravillosa sorpresa con éste producto. Deja las pestañas bastante más largas que muchos otras máscaras de pestañas que haya probado. No se va con el sudor, ni acaba "corriéndose" y dejándote los ojos cómo los de un panda, aguanta mucho y es de un negro bastante intenso. A la hora de quitar es algo complicado, así que recomiendo usar un desmaquillante fuerte o para productos waterproof, pero a parte de eso, es de mis productos favoritos.

Macaron Facial Mask (Collagen) from Hanaka (2,73 Euros)

This was one of my favorite products. It's a one-use collagen facial mask that comes in a very cute pink macaroon packaging. Hanaka sells a huge variety of facial masks of this type, each of them are a different color and have various properties such as: vitamin C, red wine extract, tea tree extract, Q10 essence and many others I'm really wanting to try out. This particular macaron facial mask comes in a pink packaging and has a subtle flowery scent. Apply all of  the facial mask over your face, and leave it rest for about 15/ 20 minutes, and then wash off with lukewarm water. It was a bit difficult to wash off because it had turned into something similar to jelly, but it's understandable being a collagen mask. I really liked the final result, I felt that my skin was very soft and more smooth. If you like facial products, I recommend you try Hanaka's macaron facial masks.

Éste producto en especial me gustó mucho. Es una mascarilla facial de un sólo uso de colágeno que viene en un envase con forma de medio macaron. Hanaka vende una variedad de éstas mascarillas faciales, cada una de distinto color y con una propiedad diferente: puedes encontrar ésta de colágeno u otras de vitamina C, con extracto de vino tinto, con extracto de árbol de té, con esencia de Q10, y muchas otras que estoy deseando probar. Ésta en particular tiene un envase de color rosa y tiene un aroma muy suave y floral. Se aplica la mascarilla generosamente por toda la cara y se deja durante 15/ 20 minutos, y luego se quita con agua templada. Me pareció algo difícil de quitar porque se había convertido en algo parecido a gelatina, pero es comprensible siendo una mascarilla de colágeno. El resultado final me gustó mucho porque noté la cara muy suave y la piel bastante más tersa y lisa. Si os gustan los productos de cuidado facial, os recomiendo probar éstas mascarillas de envase y colores adorables.

Egg Pore deep cleansing foam from TonyMoly (7,05 Euros)

I've seen that a lot of bloggers and asian cosmetic stores that the Egg Pore range is one of TonyMoly's bestsellers, so I decided to buy the cleansing foam and give it a try. The price is really good for a 150ml cosmetic product, especially being cleansing foam, which you don't need too much to wash your face. This product is made with egg shells and has a subtle citric smell, it also has small spheres of gel that are both for scrubbing and cleaning your pores. I feel that it cleans my face properly, but it doesn't make a huge difference. I don't dislike this product but I'm not sure if I would buy it again, next time I'll maybe try the Egg Pore steam balm which helps clean and close pores.

He visto en muchos blogs y tiendas de cosmética coreana que Egg Pore es uno de los productos estrella de TonyMoly, así que decidí comprar la espuma limpiadora y probarla. La relación precio- cantidad está realmente bien, porque son 150 ml de producto, que no es poco, y con poco que uses, cómo es espuma, tienes para toda la cara. Está hecha a base de cáscara de huevo y tiene un suave aroma cítrico, también contiene pequeñas bolitas de gel amarillas que al mismo tiempo exfolian y ayudan a limpiar los poros. Siento que limpia mi cara y quita el exceso de grasa, pero realmente no noto ningún cambio significativo. No es un producto que me desagrade en absoluto, pero no sé si volvería a comprarlo de nuevo. La próxima vez debería probar el bálsamo de vapor para limpiar y cerrar poros. 

Help My Finger (Milk Strong) from Etude House (9,31 Euros).

Actually this was a bit of a stupid purchase, not because the product is bad, but because my nails are actually very strong and don't brake easily. I find that this product would be great if you have fragile nails that chip or break easily. I bought this nail polish because I loved the color, though. It's not an intense white but a milky soft color that leaves your nails looking stunning.

La verdad es que ésta compra fue un poco tonta, no porque el producto sea malo sino porque mis uñas son bastante duras y no se rompen con facilidad. Éste producto funciona si tus uñas son fragiles y se rompen con facilidad. Compré éste producto porque me encantaba el color y acabado. No es un blanco intenso, sino un blanco lechoso que deja las uñas preciosas.

Lush Haul IV

Phoenix Rising ballistic is perfection made into a bath bomb. A two layer color ballistic: sparkling purple and green, the same color plumage the mythological Phoenix had. Made with shea butter, jojoba oil, cocoa butter and lovely spices, the smell is not sweet or floral but spicy, just as spiced rum and I love it. Just leave Phoenix Rise sink into the tub and after a while it will "rise" up to the surface and dye the water in a gorgeous purple color. Unfortunately this product is going to be discontinued...

Phoenix Rising (Ave Fénix) es una bomba de dos capas: una de brillante morado y otra verde, los mismos colores del plumaje del mitológico Ave Fénix. Ésta bomba de baño está hecha con manteca de karité, aceite de jojoba, muchas especias y manteca de cacao. El olor no es floral ni dulce, sino más bien especiado, huele cómo a ron especiado y me encanta. Sólo tienes que dejar que Ave Fénix se sumerja en la bañera y después de un ratito volverá a la superficie y teñirá el agua de un color morado precioso. Lamentablemente éste producto va a ser descatalogado...

The Godmother soap as the same smell as Snow fairy shower gel, altough I personally think the scent is quite different between them, I much prefer the smell The Godmother soap has. Lush has excellent quality soaps, I find they leave your hands very clean and don't make your skin feel dry. You can use it for your hands AND body. I cut it in slices to be able to use it in different occasions. Another product that is going to be discontinued this year.

La Madrina es un jabón con el mismo aroma al gel de ducha Snow Fairy, aunque sinceramente pienso que el olor es totalmente distinto, prefiero el olor que tiene La Madrina. Lush tiene unos jabones buenísimos, dejan las manos y el cuerpo muy limpios y no dan esa sensación de tener las manos resecas y poco hidratadas. Se pueden usar tanto para manos cómo para el cuerpo. Yo lo corto en trozos más pequeños para poder darle más usos. Otro producto que también va a ser descatalogado éste año.

Formula Known As is a hand and body lotion, but I normally just use it as a hand cream. It has the same formula as Charity Pot, but it also includes ingredients such as cocoa butter, ylang ylang, geranium, almond and tagetes oil, creating a sweet, chocolatey smell which I personally love. I don't usually use body butters or lotions, but I do use hand lotion, because my hands tend to get dry when I wash them with soap. Formulae Known As (what a weird name for a cream product) is a rich, moisturizing lotion that dries very quickly, and that's exactly the reason why I bought it, I can't stand creams, butters or lotions that make your hands so sticky you can't touch anything until they dry, I need a lotion that my skin can absorb quickly and moisturize it properly. And I hate to say this but it's also going to be discontinued this year...

Formulaw Known As es una loción para manos y cuerpo, normalmente yo la uso sólo para las manos. Tiene la misma fórmula que Charity Pot, pero también incluye otros ingredientes cómo manteca de cacao, ylang ylang, geranio y aceites de almendra y tagetes, creando un dulce aroma a chocolate que personalmente adoro. Por lo general no suelo usar cremas o lociones para el cuerpo, pero si que las uso para cuidarme la piel de las manos, porque mis manos tienden a secarse mucho cuando las lavo con jabón. Formulae Known As (que nombre más curioso para un bote de loción) es una loción cremosa, muy hidratante que la piel puede absorber rápidamente, y esa es la razón exacta por la que la compre, porque no soporto que al ponerme cremas o lociones en las manos no pueda tocar nada porque tardan siglos en absorberse, necesito una loción que mis manos puedan absorber rápidamente e hidratar correctamente. Y muy a mi pesar, también lo van a descatalogar éste año...

Godiva shampoo (and conditioner) bar is named after lovely Lady Godiva. It's got a seductive jasmine scent and is very moisturizing for your hair, I specially bought it because my hair is very dry and damaged, I haven't used it that much, but it does leave your hair extremely soft and silky after every wash. I really recommend this one if you've got hair like mine...Just use it as you would use a normal soap bar but for your hair. Wet your hair, make as much foam as wished and just wash your hair as usual, rinse and enjoy your clean and soft hair. Lush's shampoo bars may look small, but it's quite a mighty little bar because they last up to about 80 washes depending on the hair lenght and volume.

El champú (y acondicionador) sólido Godiva llena el nombre de la encantadora Lady Godiva. Tiene un sensual aroma a jazmín y es muy hidratante para el pelo. Me lo compré expresamente porque mi pelo es muy seco y se estropea fácilmente. No he usado éste producto demasiado todavía, pero cuando sí lo he usado siempre me ha dejado el pelo extremadamente suave y sedoso, sin encrespamiento. De veras lo recomiendo si tenéis el mismo tipo de pelo que yo...Simplemente usadlo cómo usaríais una pastilla de jabón, sólo que para el pelo: mojaos el pelo y haced tanta espuma cómo queráis del champú sólido, y lavaos el pelo cómo de costumbre, secaos el pelo y disfrutad de un cabello limpio y suave. Los champús sólidos de Lush pueden parecer pequeños, pero éstas pequeñas pastillas pueden durar hasta 80 lavados, claro que depende de la cantidad y el largo de tu pelo.

Autumn leaves

I gathered all of my strenght and decided to start posting about my #ootd's. This look I photographed at the beginning of the month, so it wasn't cold enough, but I took the oportunity to take some pics of this very comfortable look before I went shopping. The cardigan I am wearing I bought in a shop in Marbella, but I can't remember the name of the shop...sorry! The olive green crop top I bought in Topshop and is super comfy because it's quite baggy and the colour is great for this season. The mom jeans I'm wearing are also from Topshop and are the best pants I have, and I think I've ever had. And on my footies I am wearing my New Balance which I wear nearly every day. And finally, my gorgeous Missibaba bag.

He reunido todo el valor que tenía y he decidido empezar a subir post de mi misma para enseñaros mis #ootd (oufit of the day). Éste look lo fotografié al principio del mes, con lo cual aún no hacía frío, pero aproveché que salía a hacer unas compras para hacerle unas cuántas fotos a éste look tan cómodo. El cárdigan que llevo, de color mostaza, lo compré hace poco en una tienda de Marbella, no recuerdo bien el nombre de la tienda...lo siento. El crop top verde oliva es de Topshop y es muy cómoda porque es ancho y el color me gusta para ésta época del año. Los mom jeans que llevo también son de Topshop y son los pantalones mejores que tengo, y creo que he tenido en mi vida. Luego están mis New Balance que llevo prácticamente todos los días. Y por último, mi precioso bolso de Missibaba.

October Inspirations

Cold weather, rainy days, Harry Potter movie marathons, pumpkins and spices, warm cups of tea, cozy clothing, Halloween...Hello again October! Always good to see you. I always like to write posts with photos or gifs that have inspired me around this time of the year. The weather changes and is much nicer than the scorching heat of summer. I've come to realise that my favorite seasons are autumn and spring, those which bring much notable changes. Also, I made some new headers for my blog, I feel fulfilled haha. So here are some of the photos I've liked the most from this month. All of these remind me of what October brings.

Tiempo frío, días lluviosos, maratón de películas de Harry Potter, calabazas y especias, tazas de té calentito, ropa cómoda y calentita, Halloween...¡Hola de nuevo octubre! Que bien volver a tenerte. Siempre me gusta escribir post con fotos o gifs que me hayan inspirado en éstos días del año. El tiempo cambia y es mucho más agrable que ese calor abrasador de verano. Me he dado cuenta de que mis estaciones del año favoritas son primavera y otoño, aquellas estaciones que más cambios notables traen consigo.También he hecho algunos logos para la cabecera de mi blog, me siento realizada jaja. Así que aquí os dejo algunas de las imágenes que más me han gustado o inspirado éste mes, todas ellas me recuerdan a lo que trae octubre.

September favorites!

Hello everyone! I'm writing this while listening to Florence + The Machine's new album, and I must say I really like it! I highly recommend you listen to it. I really loved "Queen of Peace", "Mother", "Long&Lost", "How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful" and "Ship to Wreck". But now, let's get into the main theme, my favorite products or items I used (or bought) this month. Let's beging with-..my super cool dinosaur socks from Topshop! Every single time I go to Topshop, even if I don't buy anything else, I leave the shop with a new pair of socks, their designs and prints are the best, I think nearly all of my pair of socks are from Topshop. These I bought because they've got dinosaurs on them, and their cool, and what I like even more than that is that they've got pastel colours and a ninties vibe.

¡Hola a todos! Escribo éste post mientras escucho el nuevo disco de Florence + The Machine, y ¡debo decir que me encanta! Recomiendo encarecidamente que lo escuchéis. Las canciones que más me han gustado son "Queen of Peace", "Mother", "Long&Lost", "How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful" y "Ship to Wreck". Y tras ésto, comencemos a hablar sobre los productos que he usado (o comprado) éste mes que más me han gustado. Empecemos con...¡mis calcetines súper geniales de dinosaurios que compré en Topshop! Siempre que voy a Topshop, aunque no me compré nada más, siempre salgo con un par de calcetines, porque me pueden sus estampados y diseños, creo que casi todos mis calcetines son de ahí. Éstos los compré porque son dinosaurios, y molan, y lo que me gusta incluso más que eso es que tienen colores pastel y un rollo muy noventero. 

Everytime I visit Cape Town I go to Mr. Price for some cheap bargains, I must admit they have lot's of rubbish, but also lot's of nice stuff, depends on the season really...But this time I bought quite a lot of their stuff, like these awesome round two-coloured frame sunglasses. They look really nice and were super cheap.

Cada vez que voy a Ciudad del Cabo me paso por Mr. Price en busca de gangas, tengo que admitir que tienen mucha basura, pero también encuentro cosas muy chulas, realmente depende de la temporada...pero en ésta ocasión compré bastantes cosas ahí, cómo éstas gafas de sol con montura bicolor. Quedan muy bien y me salieron muy baratas.

Crazy Rumors lipbalms I discovered not long ago, and I had to buy some of their amazing flavoured lipbalms. I bought "Banana Slipt", "Mint Chocolate" and "Spiced Chai", you can also get flavours like bubblegum or amaretto, lemonade, gingerbread...they have a lot of interesting flavours. From these three I bought I really love "Spiced Chai", it smells of real tea and spices and it's a flavour I enjoy in the autumn/ winter season. They also have a nice formula, not too thick but just right to moisturize your lips, and their vegan and cruelty free!

Hace muy poco descubrí los cacaos labiales Crazy Rumors, y tuve que comprar algunos de sus increíbles sabores. Los compré en la página web de perfumerías Primor, donde tienen algunos de los sabores de éstos cacaos a muy buen precio. Compré "Banana Split", "Mint Chocolate" y "Spiced Chai", y he de decir que éste último es mi favorito, huele un montón a té y a especias y me gustan mucho esos sabores para el otoño e invierno. También tienen una buena fórmula, no son demasiado espesos si no que tienen lo justo y necesario para hidratar los labios, ¡y son veganos y no testados en animales!

From The Body Shop's "Scents Of The World" range, I bought "Indian Night Jasmine", with notes of neroli jasmine, violet leaf, orange blossom and magnolia and sandalwood and musk. It has become one of my favorite scents from The Body Shop. A really nice range of perfumes for a very good price, this one is very intense and a bit strong so it lasts for quite a long time.

De la colección de The Body Shop llamada "Esencias Del Mundo" compré "Indian Night Jasmine", con notas de nerolí, violeta, azahar y magnolia, sándalo y almizcle. Se ha convertido en una de mis esencias preferidas de The Body Shop. Es una colección de perfumes muy buena y por muy buen precio. Éste en especial es muy intenso y algo fuerte así que el aroma dura mucho tiempo.

I bought this cool t-shirt from Kling, I went "bananas" for it! (ok, that's enough, sorry). But it is pretty cute and comfy, and it was on sale, so even better! It's become one of my favorite wardrobe pieces but it's a shame the weather is starting to cool down now...I usually wear it with my mom jeans or my denim front button skirt.

Compré ésta camiseta tan chula en Kling, fue amor a primera vista. Es muy mona y cómoda, ¡y estaba de rebajas! lo cuál la hace incluso una mejor compra. Se ha convertido en una de mis prendas favoritas, pena que cada vez haga más frío...Me la suelo poner con mis mom jeans o con mi falda vaquera con botones por delante.

Between scrubs and bubbles

Going back to Cape Town means spending all of my money on Lush products. I usually buy more of their bath products, like bubble bars and bath bombs, but this time I bought more face and hair products. Here are some of the first ones I bought.

Volver a Ciudad del Cabo significa gastar todo mi dinero en productos de Lush. Normalmente lo que más compro son sus productos para el baño, cómo bombas de baño y  burbujas, pero ésta vez compré más productos para la cara y el pelo. Aquí os dejo algunos de los productos que compré primero.

Jason and the Argan Oil is a shampoo bar made with rose absolute and argan oil. It's restorative, it softness your hair a lot and gives it brightness and strenght. The smell is exactly the same as Rose Jam and Ro's Argan, it's my favorite smell from Lush, it's the best, they should have a perfume with this scent, seriously. The only problem I find in this product is that it's a bit powdery; the bar crumbles easily, which makes it difficult to use in the shower.

Jason and the Argan Oil es un champú sólido hecho con rosa y aceite de argán. Es reconstituyente , suaviza y le da a tu cabello más brillo y fuerza. El olor es exactamente el mismo de Rose Jam y Ro's Argan, el cual es mi olor favorito, es lo mejor, tendrían que hacer un perfume de ésta fragrancia en serio. El único problema que le encuentro a éste producto es que se rompe con facilidad y se hace difícil usarlo en la ducha.

American Cream is a hair conditioner which contains honey, strawberries and vanilla. Inspired by the 50's milkshake and ice cream parlours in the states, it smells sweet but subtle and it helps your hair soften and shine. I haven't used it that much, but I do find it leaves your hair softer and smelling like no other product has ever made my hair smell: super good and for a very long time, it's nearly hair perfume.

American Cream es un acondicionador de pelo que contiene miel, fresas y vainilla. Inspirado en las cafeterías norteamericanas de los años 50, huele dulce pero suave y ayuda a suavizar el cabello y le aporta brillo. Aún no lo he usado lo suficiente para notar un gran cambio, pero si que he notado que deja el pelo más suave y oliendo como nunca ningún producto ha hecho que huela mi pelo: súper bien y durante mucho mucho tiempo, es casi perfume para el pelo.

Yuzu and cocoa bubbleroon contains bergamot oil, grapefruit, cocoa absolute and tonka, which if you don't know is a seed from a tree in South America. I love Lush's bubbleroons, they leave your skin very soft and the smell is glorious. My favorite one is Rose Jam bubbleroon (obviously), but this one I wanted to try for a change and I'm glad I bought it, it has a very sweet and tropical smell, nearly like piña colada.

Yuzu and cocoa bubbleroon contiene aceite de bergamota, pomelo, cacao y tonka, que para él/ la que no lo sepa es la semilla de un árbol que crece en Sudamérica. Me encantan las bubbleroons de Lush, dejan la piel extra suave y huelen de maravilla. Mi favorita es Rose Jam bubbleroon (obviamente), pero ésta la quería probar para cambiar un poco y me alegro de haberla comprado. Tiene un olor tropical y dulce, cómo a piña colada.

Big Blue is made with lemon, lavender and sea salt and has become one of my favorite bath bombs. I left it in the package for about a week before using it and my whole room smelt of it! I loved it. Once in water, it makes your tub look like your in tropical beach, the color of the water is gorgeous and the bath bomb has pieces of seaweed and big chunks of sea salt. Seriously obsessed with it.

Big Blue está hecha con limón, lavanda y sal de mar, y se ha convertido en una de mis bombas de baño favoritas. Antes de usarla, la dejé una semana en la bolsa, ¡y durante todo ese tiempo olía toda la habitación a Big Blue! Me encantó. Cuando la echas al agua parece que la bañera se ha convertido en el océano de alguna playa tropical, el color del agua es precioso y suelta trozos de alga y sal marina. Completamente obsesionada con éste producto.

Minimal NYFW

New York Fashion week ended just some days ago but I still keep looking at some of the amazing collections for spring-summer 2016. You could find very flamboyant collections like the ones by The Blonds or even Marc Jacobs, which I usually love, but this collection... It just didn't work for me, don't get me wrong, the concept was great and I really liked some details and pieces, but it's just not my style. But let's talk minimal; simple, monochromatic, edgy and elegant minimal fashion. Here are some of my favorite pieces or details I liked from spring-summer 2016 collections by Boss, Calvin Klein and DKNY. To me, these were the most minimal and lovely collections of NYFW.

La semana de la moda de Nueva York terminó hace solo unos días pero aún sigo mirando las increíbles colecciones de la temporada primavera- verano 2016. Se pueden encontrar colecciones extravagantes y llamativas cómo las de The Blonds o incluso la de Marc Jacobs, que por lo general es de mis diseñadores favoritos, pero ésta colección...Simplemente no me acaba de convencer, pero no os equivoquéis, la puesta en escena y el concepto de la colección me encantó, al igual que algunas piezas y detalles de la colección, pero tal vez no es del todo mi estilo. Pero hablemos de lo importante: moda simple, monocromática, edgy y elegante. Aquí os traigo algunas de mis piezas y detalles favoritos de las colecciones de Boss, Calvin Klein y DKNY para primavera- verano 2016, que a mi juicio son las colecciones minimalistas más bonitas de la semana de la moda de Nueva York.

Let's kick it with Calvin Klein: Silk, black, white and nude colours, flower pattern and sequins, all I could of wished for. I think this may be my favorite collection out of the ones I mention in this post. I love silk and I love flower patterns and I love monochromatic colours...and I love love love sparkling things like glitter and sequins. And weirdly enough I also liked the "torn apart" black jersey look in the 5th photo.

Comencemos con Calvin Klein: seda. blanco, negro y colores nude, estampados florales y lentejuelas, todo lo que una chica (como yo) podría desear. Ésta tal vez haya sido la colección que más me haya gustado de las que menciono en éste post. Me gusta la seda y me gustan los colores monocromáticos y me gustan los estampados florales...y sobretodo adoro las cosas brillantes cómo la purpurina y las lentejuelas. Y de alguna manera también me gusta el look del jerseys destrozado de la quinta imagen.

Boss brought fringes, angular cuts, tailoring and gorgeous dresses. The location of the runway for the fashion show was also lovely; the yellow and baby blue look great together.

Boss trajo flecos, cortes angulares, sastrería y preciosos vestidos. El lugar en el que se llevó a cabo la pasarela también me pareció adorable; el amarillo va genial con el azul claro.

                                         

                                       

DKNY's collection was made of silk, monochromatic, 90's era suit blazers and see through fabric. I really liked this collection, although less than Calvin Klein's. I specially liked the first look, not just because of the outfit but because of the make up and hair style. 

La colección de DKNY estaba hecha de seda, colores mocromáticos, trajes de chaqueta con estilo de los 90 y tela con transparencia. De veras que me gustó ésta colección, aunque no más que la de Calvin Klein. Me enamoré especialmente con el look del primer outfit, no sólo por la ropa si no por el maquillaje y el peinado.
